1. Daily Maintenance Essentials

1.1 Solar Panel Maintenance

Solar panels are exposed outdoors year-round. Dust, bird droppings, and leaf shading can drastically reduce power generation efficiency. Recommendations:

· Clean solar panel surfaces every 1-2 months with a soft cloth and clean water — avoid hard brushes or corrosive cleaners

· Check mounting bracket bolts for looseness, especially after strong winds

· Inspect for cracks or hot spots (discolored areas indicating localized overheating)

· Ensure orientation and tilt angle are not affected by new obstructions (buildings, tree growth, etc.)

1.2 Controller Maintenance

The controller is the "brain" of the system:

· Check if the cooling fan is running properly (if equipped)

· Keep the controller well-ventilated — avoid direct sun exposure or enclosed spaces

· Periodically check the display/indicator lights to confirm charging and discharging status

· Keep terminal connections tight and check for oxidation or burn marks

1.3 Pump Inspection

Although Solar water pumps are well-sealed, pay attention to:

· Check cable entry seals to prevent water ingress along the cable

· Listen for abnormal noise or vibration — signs of bearing wear or debris in the impeller

· Record normal operating current (from nameplate) and compare regularly — significant deviation indicates trouble

· Monitor discharge pressure stability — fluctuations often indicate changing pump conditions

· Protect controllers and batteries outdoors with moisture-proof and insulation measures

· For storage over 1 month: run the pump for 5-10 minutes every two weeks to prevent seal drying and seizure

· When restarting after storage: check insulation resistance first, then power on
